Wayanad is known for its lush greenery that spreads out in a luxuriant emerald blanket that extends for miles. The tea plantations in this region are a sight to behold with delicate tea plants gently growing along the foothills of the Chembra range.  

Trek through this tea garden and discover how this world-famous beverage is grown. Cross over rushing mountain streams and pass plantation settlements as you ascend upwards. 

Slowly, you’ll come across the scented cardamom forests with huge ancient trees and a thick canopy that hangs overhead. Have your lunch beside a merrily bubbling stream that is sunlit by the rays of the sun that fall through the leaves. Recharge with a dip in this cold, clear water and make your way to the vista point where you will be greeted by spectacular views of tea plantations and nearby hills.  

A perfect family-friendly hike, this trail takes you through lovely tea gardens and finishes with a gorgeous panoramic view of the surroundings.

Will water and snacks be provided on this trek?  

Yes, we will provide you with water and snacks for this lovely trek. However, feel free to carry any small treats you’d like to enjoy on the trail.  

What should I carry for this trek?  

We’d recommend packing as light as possible as the trek will be long and uphill. You can carry your own water bottle, sunscreen, travel toiletries, energy fueling snacks and your lunch.  

Will lunch be provided?  

No, meals are not provided for this trek. It’s best to carry your own lunch and try to keep your meal light. We’d recommend sandwiches, lemon rice or even a tasty poha to reduce the number of containers and prevent you from feeling sluggish for the walk downhill.  

Will toilets be available during the trek? 

No, you’ll be in the midst of nature, so toilets will not be accessible. You can use the toilet at the starting point but elsewhere you’ll have to adjust to the surroundings.
