Camping in Antharagange

Are you planning for a night camping near Bangalore? Antharagange is the perfect destination to unwind and relax. While bonfires and stargazing are an integral part of the trip, trekking and hiking on this part of the Shatha Shrunga Mountain Range and witnessing the volcanic rocks is a whirlwinding experience.

Antharagange is a peak in the Shathashrunga mountain range in Karnataka's Kolar district. In Kannada, Anthara Gange means 'Deep Stream' or 'Inner Stream.' It is approximately two miles from Kolar and 70 kilometers from Bangalore. Antharagange is well-known for its Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of the South. Lord Shiva is the patron of the temple. A pond in the temple receives a constant supply of groundwater from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull). Drinking water from the pond is thought to cure a variety of illnesses.

Camping in Antharagange is the experience of a lifetime. Surrounded by lush green valleys and towering peaks, pitch a tent and fall asleep to the tranquil silence that envelopes the area.
