About Bannerghatta Nature Camp

Looking for a slice of wildlife without driving too far out of the city? Situated on the outskirts of the bustling city of Bangalore, the Bannerghatta Nature Camp brings you within the vicinity of the Bannerghatta National Park, a haven of Karnataka’s wildlife close to the concrete urban jungle. The biggest of its kind, this facility opened up opportunities for India’s first Lion and Tiger Safaris. Located just 25 kms away, the Bannerghatta National Park is a treasure chest of wildlife, housing bears, wild elephants, deer, porcupines, bonnet macaques, and an eclectic mix of bird species that roost on lofty branches. Being so close to the city yet feeling as though you’re in the middle of a luxuriant forest far away from the fast-paced life of the city is a surreal, reinvigorating experience. You forget the endless zoom calls and monotonous work routines you’ve left behind and learn that there is more to life, when you’re close to Mother Nature.

The Bannerghatta Nature Camp takes you close to this secret part of Bangalore and allows you to reconnect with nature. The camp is a popular destination for corporate get-togethers, with all the facilities for off-sites, meetings and seminars. After taking a tour through the enclosures, you can join the in-house naturalist as you walk through the beautiful herbivore region of the park. One of the largest butterfly parks in Asia is within the premises of the Bannerghatta National Park and spotting these delicate, fluttering insects are an enchanting sight to behold.

After your trek through Bangalore’s wildlife, you can munch on delicious local food served in the Gol Ghar. Feast on a tasty spread of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food created with the best of the local spices and flavours as you take in the greenery around you. You can also request for Continental and Chinese food.

What customers are saying:

  • If you want to enjoy wildlife without traveling too far, this camp is a great option. The deer kept walking around the camp while we had a campfire and the experience was wonderful. Food was delicious and the camp is green and beautiful.
  • The jungle safari and the butterfly park were the highlights. The accommodation was cozy and well-maintained. A wonderful place for kids to learn and enjoy the wilderness.
  • The camp is very peaceful, in the morning all you can hear are the birds and squirrels. It is situated right next to the herbivore enclosure. The staff is very courteous and hospitable, especially for guests who have arthritis, they will pick you up and drop you to the restaurants and anywhere else you need to go within the camp.
  • The tents are neat, clean, well maintained with good toilets. Food has good spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Campfire was with hot soup since it was cloudy and in the monsoon season. Safari was lovely with a good view of the animals.
  • The Tent is spic and span. Clean beds, toilet and about its ambience? It’s impossible to relate to it until you experience it first-hand. We literally felt like we were living in a forest with absolutely no connection to mankind.
