About the experience

An iconic mountain range in the Western Ghats, the Brahmagiri Hill stands out because of its unique location. Situated on the border between Coorg and Wayanad, this majestic hill can be climbed from either side, and at its summit, you can catch a glimpse of both states in all their glory.

Pull-on your trekking boots and test your mettle against the rugged slopes of this legendary hill. Drive to the trailhead and explore the famous Rejeshwara Temple on the banks of the river Lakshmana Thirtha. According to legend, Lakshmana shot an arrow into the Brahmagiri, from which a shimmering river sprang.

Ascend through the tree line and catch glimpses of the soft and green grasslands below. Soon, you’ll reach a high rolling plateau that peers into the countryside. Catch your breath and snap some pictures before continuing your journey to the summit.

At its peak, the vista will leave you speechless at its beauty. Green coffee plantations, dense forests, and sprawling grasslands decorate Coorg and Kerala, giving you a birds-eye view of the natural bounty that adorns these lovely states.

Gear up for a hike that takes you to two states through one trek!

FAQs

Will water and snacks be provided on this trek?

Yes, we will provide you with water and snacks for this lovely trek. However, feel free to carry any small treats you’d like to enjoy on the trail.

What should I carry for this trek?

We’d recommend packing as light as possible as the trek will be long and uphill. You can carry your own water bottle, sunscreen, travel toiletries, energy fuelling snacks and your lunch.

Will lunch be provided?

No, meals are not provided for this trek. It’s best to carry your own lunch and try to keep your meal light. We’d recommend sandwiches, lemon rice or even a tasty poha to reduce the number of containers and prevent you from feeling sluggish for the walk downhill.

Will toilets be available during the trek?

No, you’ll be in the midst of nature, so toilets will not be accessible. You can use the toilet at the starting point but elsewhere you’ll have to adjust to the surroundings.
