Sail Around Panaji

When you think of Goa, the first thoughts to enter our mind would be of the soft white sand coasts, rich cultural heritage and thriving nightlife of the region. However, this coastal city has lots more to offer its guests than just that. Come experience the beautiful sights that bless the region from the comfort of a sailing boat.  

Start the day by sailing up the Zuari river, with the morning sun guiding you across as the cool sea breeze blows past. Settle down and enjoy a cup of warm chai or coffee served by the crew as you begin your day of sailing. As you make your way up the river, you’ll notice the mangroves along the banks growing denser as you keep an eye out for migratory birds as well as the crocodiles lingering close to the mudbanks. As the wind dies down, the outboard motor revs to life and propels the boat further along the calm waters.  

Lunch is served on the boat, along with a chilled beer or cold juice, before setting off again along the Mandovi River. Sail under several low bridges as you make your way across, and as the wind finally picks up again and fills the sails, enjoy charming views of Old Goa, Divar Island, and Chorao Island. The crew skillfully handle the sandbars with their menacing breakers before finally making their way to the open ocean. Here, you can sit back and take in the surreal views of sunset before finally making your way back to the Dona Paula jetty.
